Recessionista Table Decor

We are doing Mother's Day brunch at our house this year with the family. It was kind of a last minute decision to have it here so I hadn't given much thought to my table decor. I decided I didn't want to go overboard--I tend to do that because I have way more fun decorating the table than cooking. When you are a less than average cook, you have to have a stellar table. Anyways, we are using the 'crystal looking' plastic plates in an attempt to limit dishes. With that in mind I did casual, super inexpensive table decor in black and white with bright pink. It turned out pretty stinkin' cute if I do say so myself. I primarily used wrapping paper and wire edged ribbon. I cut 11x11 squares from card stock and wrapped them with wrapping paper to use as a 'charger' so to speak. I then added wire ribbon bows on the glasses and used bright pink, small gift bags (goodie bags for the mamas) to add some color. I also found large and small pink tins at Target for flowers and Hershey kisses. What mama doesn't love flowers and chocolate. I was pretty pumped about my cheap, cute mother's day table. WooHoo! Just for the record, I did the whole table for less than $50 bucks!!!!
